The suspect who caused a massive forest fire in Yuxi Yimen Town has been arrested.

Following a police preliminary investigation, during the electric power construction, the suspect threw the cigarette butt to initiate the fire.

At 5:25 p.m. on March 18, a serious fire accident happened in Yuxi City Yimen town, at 8:28 on the 19th the the forest fire spread to Caopu Township in Anning, a county-level city on the outskirts of Kunming.

More than 2200 firefighters and people have been mobilized to the site of the blaze. Until 12:00 on the 20th, the forest fire in Yuxi Yimen Town was under control. At present, no casualties occurred.
