Lugu Lake is temporarily closed due to earthquake

On June 24, magnitude-5.7 earthquake occurred in the border provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan at 15pm, followed by a 3.3-magnitude aftershock two minutes later as the epicenter was located at the border area between Ninglang and Yanyuan where the Yi ethnic lives. 4 people were killed and over 100 reported injured.

As the area is near Lugu Lake, Lugu Lake scenic spot has been closed temporarily closed by Lijiang Tourism Bureau, the reopening date has not yet been given.
